Eat fish and seafood more often to lower cholesterol

Fish and seafood are the best source of omega-3 fatty acids you'll find.  In order to lower your cholesterol try to eat fish and seafood at least 3 times a week.  You don't have to get fancy, tuna is perfectly fine.  People who eat 8 ounces or more of fish per week, lower their risk of having a fatal heart attack by 40% over those who didn't eat fish regularly.

Omega-3s

Omega-3 fatty acids help protect against many diseases such as cancer, arthritis, high blood pressure, strokes, and heart disease to name a few.  Despite its capacity to impede the progress of certain diseases, most experts claim that the main benefits of eating seafood lies in prevention rather than cure.  A diet rich in oily fish is likely to protect against the onset of many serious diseases.
